Many Alpine valleys transform during the winter in to icy kingdoms draped with huge formations. Climbing these unique ice formations is exhilarating and fun, when armed with sharp crampons on our feet and gothic axes extending from our arms.

Chamonix has easy access to lots of ice, with places like Cogne in Italy only a short drive away.

Whether you want to test your arms on some steeper ice, with the safety of a top rope or learn how to safely take your first steps in to the world of ice fall climbing, I can build a bespoke course that’s right for you.

The icefall season usually runs from mid November - February. Don’t worry if you’re out of this season though, because we can always find ice to climb in the mountains. Why not take a look at the Alpinism / UK Climbing sections too.

Climb Pristine Ice

The places we visit for ice climbing, should always have great reliable ice to climb. There is nothing quite like picking your way up a beautiful, shiny icefall.
